Holy Week Vacation

We had the chance to go on a vacation..thanks to the holy week holiday!=) we spent 3 nights and 4 days at the beach. It was fun and tiring but it was worth it. Viona and Louise are now past tan--super itim na! they didn't want to get out of the water. it's good i had enough supply of sunblock.
Viona had so much fun playing in the sand too! With her pail and different kinds of shovels, she was digging the whole time she was out of the water.
The girls also had their henna tattooes. We'll see if it'll really last for a good 3 weeks! =)
Now it's back to basic.. back to work for Teng; back to being a housewife for me. Until my next beach escape. Maybe by October or November. We'll see if my bikini would still fit. lol

and the new champion is . . .

Every Filipino's life was put to a hold yesterday as 1 of the binding forces of our race had the chance to once again prove his strength and bravery. We watched the matched through regular tv and even before the match started, we already heard a lot on who won and what round one got hurt or knocked out. nakakapikon lang coz you set-up everything- food, drinks, the works and you end up knowing the details before you watch the fight. So next time around, we'll just watch thru the pay-per-view para walang magmagaling na sabihin kung ano nangyari sa laban! hmp!
anyhow, the match was tiring..especially the commercials! grabe! every highlight commercial agad! what takes around an hour to watch took 3 hours because of those commercials! tapos wala pang post fight interview sa channel 7! bwiset talaga! so we had to watch it in another channel who had a more delayed telecast. so we had to watch 5 or 4 more rounds before we heard the post fight interviews and comments. Kaya tuloy wala na kaming ibang nagawa kahapon kundi manood ng boxing.
It will really be worth paying if we avail of the pay-per-view the next time around. At least we will see it live, with less commercials and we won't be spending the whole day waiting and watching the match.
Still, we're happy that Pacquiao won. Kahit hindi convincing, ok lang.=)

Wanders

Last Friday we had the chance to watch Wanders at the Casino Filipino. It was a good show both for adults and for kids.. my gauge? Viona! She was clapping her hands in amusement most of the time. She did not get bored! Horay for Viona!
The show had acrobats from China and Russia. There were songs and dances that only adults would appreciate coz they were mostly old songs and broadway hits. The dancers wore skimpy costumes ala Las Vegas showgirls complete with the feathery head gears which are not appropriate for kids of course. But then, they see girls with skimpy costumes almost everyday c/o Wowowee. So the kids didn't really care.
Anyway, the kids couldn't get enough of the show and they would like to watch it again! We will probably see it again, this time with Teng. I'm sure he'll enjoy seeing the Russian girls w/ the sexy costumes! lol
Sorry, no pictures..no cameras allowed inside the casino.

ala Manny Pacquiao

She sure looks like she had a fight with Manny Pacquiao but of course not...
yesterday she fell from a chair and this is what it did to her face. the fall was a foot from the floor but i don't know why she has half of her face swelled up. and the cut on her eye..i'm just so thankful it wasn't her eyeballs that were wounded.
i was in the other room when it happened. Ate Louise and Viona were watching cartoons in their room. I didn't hear Viona cry out loud ( that is what usually happens when she's in pain). I just heard her say, "ouchy, ouchy!"
Kawawa naman my baby. At least she learned a lesson..never to stand on chairs and tables coz she will definitely fall.

She is more cautious now. You really have to learn the hard way anak.. ang kulit mo kasi eh.=)

Dad at Work

Viona and I had the chance to visit Dad at his work place. As usual, everybody's comment was, " You look like your Dad."
We stayed for almost an hour. Viona didn't want to go anywhere coz she was busy looking around and touching things. Oh, and taking pictures of herself pa pala! She was the one who took her Dad's picture by the way.
Now she knows where to find her Dad just in case...=)

Happy 70th Birthday Tito Rom!

Last Feb. 28 Tito Rom celebrated his 70th birthday. There were plenty of food and beer for everyone. His friends from their neighborhood were there to celebrate his birthday. Of course there was singing..and Tito Rom had the microphone most of the time. Hehe. A Cordero trademark.

We wish you more years to come and good health Tito Rom!
